Lois Brown, the nominated candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada in Newmarket-Aurora, is a tireless and exemplary community leader with extensive and effective political experience, including serving two terms as MP in the House of Commons from 2008 to 2015.

Hard Working

She is highly regarded by supporters and opponents alike as a genuine, roll-her-sleeves-up hard worker, laser-focused on getting done what needs to get done, in the riding, across the country and around the globe.

Community Engaged

Long before becoming involved in politics Lois Brown was fully committed to and actively engaged in the community of Newmarket-Aurora. She and her husband Kelvin founded and continue to operate a successful small business helping those who have suffered work disabilities to regain their health, improve their hope, achieve job recovery or job reassessment, and get back to living productive lives.  She is an executive member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Queen’s York Rangers Regimental Council, North Newmarket Lions Club, Aurora Historical Society and Operation Red Nose Safe Driving Program.  Lois also lends her expertise as a Director for two non-profit organizations assisting those less fortunate living in Africa.

Background

In her personal life Lois is an accomplished musician, holding an ARCT degree from the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music and regularly performs with many notable groups including the York Regional Police Chorus and Take Note, helping raise much needed funds for local charities.
